How do you collect information?

When you sign up for my newsletter on my website, as part of the process, I collect your email address only.  Your personal information will  NEVER be sold and will only be used for periodic email updates.

How do you store, use, share and disclose your site visitors' personal information?

My website is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides me with the online platform that allows me to share news about my upcoming books as well as direct links to websites that sell my books for me.  Books are also available for purchase through me directly where payment is collected through PayPal.  Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall. 

All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.

How do you communicate with your site visitors?

I may contact you to notify you regarding your account, to troubleshoot problems with your account, to resolve a dispute, to collect fees or monies owed, to poll your opinions through surveys or questionnaires, to send updates about my upcoming books, books sales, giveaways, or as otherwise necessary to contact you. For these purposes we will contact you via email only.

Privacy policy updates

I reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time, so please review it frequently. Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon their posting on the website. If I make material changes to this policy, I will notify you here that it has been updated.

What about buying a book?  What do you do with my address?

When you purchase a book directly through me, payment (including taxes, postage and fees) is collected through PayPal, and a separate terms and conditions purchase agreement is sent to you in the invoice. Your mailing address is then added in the private message field of PayPal's payment screen and your information is kept there.  I do not keep addresses and any email communication with addresses are deleted.  Payment and credit card history is stored in PayPal directly.

How often do you email mailing list subscribers?

I send approximately four (4) to six (6) emails a year.  You can unsubscribe at any time and no purchase is required to be a part of my mailing list or giveaways.
